Jean Yip (yip hurray?)--for the 1st time

I have dyed my hair..more like highlighted it..at Jean Yip (prestigious salon , no?)for the first time inmy life. Actually to me, its nothing much...i think its my pattern...not suited to it. Ya, and its more ex than usual.The service...3/5..the hairdresser skill?...pass, but the overall "feel" is not there for me (am i destined to be different from the masses?)

But yes...after a supposed "protective treatment or whatsoever that they call it, and a "2-tone" highlight), it costs $138...sigh...everything is money where I live. The funny thing is, the hairdresser said the highlights will sorta get more obvious after I wash my hair for a few times. I shall wait and see. Not that i dun like the result, or hate the hairdresser (her name is Hui) or the shop.But i'm wary. A stupid thing happened at the cashier.. which makes me feel irritated, until now. I only hope i have not given them 50 bucks extra.So.Do.Not.Hope.

My thyroid is getting better..thks to brothers and sisters who have kindly prayed for me...and of cos to the good doctors...the allergy on my feet...prayerfully has gone down...(pls let it keep away for a long time)...

So its been a time of seeing doctors 5 times in one month...phew.

But fortunately, the house is underway..and thk god : within our budget..Im continuing to pray for a time of god's leading and god's grace..to help us do the many things coming our way....and surely..i need wisdom:O

Pearl Harbor

I remember watching Pearl Harbor years ago when i was in JC. It was a great movie, which totally cptivated me. I loved the mood, the soundtrack, the actors(and actress), the story, the plot..almost everything. I watched it thrice in the cinemas..watched it on DVD, on TV and now..im watchg it on a movie streaming portal..brings back memories of yrs ago. I remember i even memorised the dialogue cos i really like the script of the whole movie. The fact that the whole story was embedded in history made it an even more worthy movie...(really encourage the few who nv watch to borrow the dvd)..better than titanic (haha)

In such times, where economy is bad, costs of living is high, and people using each other, in difficult times...where is the god in my life.

i have to continue living this life and "pray" for a breakthrough.

another blow -up with the Ng family...%#@#! i am just unlucky. How to deal with ppl u knw are not of same generation, and do not have the heart to emphatise with those of the younger generation. ps jeff said the respect the opp sex, emphatize with ppl younger than u, but i dunt think u can go ard and expect ppl who have not heard the sermon to treat u the same way ya...C*8*811!111..

The School Teacher and the little boy


A school teacher started his first job at a primary school and was eager to make a good impression on the kids. So, when he noticed a boy standing all by himself during recess, while the other kids were playing a game of soccer, he walked up to him and asked, “Are you alright?”

The boy assured him everything was fine and the teacher left it at that. A few minutes later, however, he noticed that the boy was still standing alone and had not joined the other boys.

Deciding to find out what was wrong this time, the teacher approached him again and said, “ Hi, are you sure you’re not feeling left out? Would you like me to be your friend?”

The boy obviously felt a little embarrassed, but after a little hesitation said, “Maybe”.

Encouraged by his progress, the teacher asked, “Tell me, why are you standing here alone?”

“Because”, the boy said with clear exasperation in his voice. “I am the goalie.”
